Quebec workplace Rebates
Are you a company, a municipality or an organization and you are considering the installation of charging stations for your corporate vehicles or the vehicles of your employees? You may be eligible for financial assistance under the Roulez vert program.
NEW - Since April 18, 2019, the employer no longer has the obligation to offer free recharging to its employees. It still remains a good practice to encourage employees to opt for an electric vehicle.
HELP GRANTED
You can choose to buy or rent the charging stations that you plan to install. A charging station equipped with several connectors must make it possible to simultaneously charge as many electric vehicles as there are connectors.
INSTALLATION
The financial assistance granted for the acquisition and installation of charging stations in the workplace is equal to 50% of eligible expenses up to a maximum of:
$5,000 per wireless charging station
$5,000 per connector (for a terminal with one or more connectors)
RENTAL AND INSTALLATION
Financial assistance for the rental and installation of a charging station in the workplace corresponds to:
$500 per wireless charging station;
or
$500 per connector (for a terminal with one or more connectors) &
50% of eligible expenses related to the installation work of a charging station.
In all cases, financial assistance can not exceed $5,000 per wireless charging station or $5,000 per connector.
ELIGIBLE CHARGING TERMINALS
To be eligible for this program, each terminal must be:
new;
powered at 120 volts (charging 1 st level) or 240 volts (charging 2 e level), or both;
approved by a recognized organization , as required by the Building Act;
used for charging a fully electric vehicle (EVV), plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHV), heavy-duty electric vehicle (EVV), low-speed electric vehicle (VLV) or motorcycle electrician (ME) of which the eligible applicant or his employees are owners.
ELIGIBLE BUSINESSES
Any business registered with the Registraire des entreprises du Québec, any municipality and any public body having an establishment in Québec, are eligible for the Program, except:
the departments and budgetary bodies of the Government du Québec listed in Schedule 1 to the Financial Administration Act (CQLR, chapter A-6.001);
persons designated by the National Assembly;
federal departments and agencies;

In addition, the establishment of the business must meet the following conditions:
Any facility may qualify for the Green Drive program provided it is not residential *.
In the case where the establishment is located in a building partly containing residential use, the applicant must provide documents demonstrating that the use recognized for its establishment is non-residential. Here are examples of accepted documents: property assessment roll, tax bill, Hydro Quebec account. Please note that the reception of business correspondence at an establishment does not constitute proof that this property is not for residential use.
DATES OF ELIGIBILITY OF EXPENSES
The Roulez vert program is in effect until December 31, 2020 , or until the budget allocated under this program is fully spent.
To qualify, the expenses for the acquisition and installation of a charging station must be carried out between 1 st November 2013 and 31 December 2020. In the case of expenses for renting a charging station, they must begin between April 18, 2019 and December 31, 2020 (first monthly payment provided for in the lease).
